On Sep 1st, 2016, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Vietnam hold a fair for green innovations in Ha Noi aiming at showcasing, encouraging and motivating green innovations in order to improve local livelihoods and quality of lives.
At the fair, a number of inventors introduced projects of applying green energy and renewable energy which helped to use natural energy more efficiently, to protect the environment and to improve communities’ livelihoods. Dien Quang was glad to be a companion of this program.
Mr. Tran Quoc Toan – Deputy General Director of Dien Quang Lamp Joint Stock Company (second from the left) was receiving the Certificate for its green products from UNDP
At the fair, PhD Le Hai Hung – Executive Board Member of Vietnam Lighting Association introduced specialized LED lamps for fishery, especially for fishing boats in Ninh Thuan Province, which were highly appreciated by UNDP for their ecocomy and environment friendliness. In the testing period of 12 months of applying “fishing” LED lamps, the amount of diesel reduced by 35.904 kilograms (by 40%). The amount of carbon dioxide reduced by 59.92 kilograms. By scaling-up this model nationwide, we can save millions of US dollars for diesel importation and cut down milions of tons of greenhouse gas emitted into the environment.
“Fishing” LED lamps were introduced and displayed at the fair
Most supporters of renewable energy, especially investors appeared at the fair agreed that the more human beings use green energy, the longer our planet will last. Greenhouse gas, a side effect of old manufacturing method, is the cause for quick global warming nowadays.
